DESCRIPTION:The third annual Fess Parker “Fess-tival\,” honoring San Angelo’s hometown Hollywood and television star\, will take place Saturday\, Aug. 15\, at Fort Concho. The morning program will run from 10 a.m. to noon\, and the evening program will be from 7 to 9 p.m.\nAll events will be at the fort’s Quartermaster Building\, located at Burgess Street and East Avenue C. The Quartermaster Building served as the first home of the San Angelo Museum of Fine Arts\, a project Fess supported. Parking and admission are free.\nThe morning program will include breakfast\, displays and exhibits\, period games\, an 18th century weaponry firing demonstration and a Daniel Boone/Davy Crockett lookalike contest. Contest rules and guidelines are available at fortconcho.com.
