Torrance Pearson of Pearson’s Painting LLC originally established his company as a small business out of Odessa, Tx. He has since returned home to San Angelo Tx and his company is now a thriving black-owned painting business celebrating 4 years of service within the painting industry. Torrance’s objective was to use his trade skills to give back to the very same community in which he and many others alike grew up (San Angelo). The most recent way he has done this was by creating the event “Paint In The Park”, to work on re-painting the basketball courts at Martin Luther King Park.. Paint-in-the-Park at one time was just a thought. A thought that was driven by the community… for the community. Martin Luther King Jr Park is home to many members of San Angelo’s black minority community, which has always served as a place to rejoice, reunion, and celebrate amongst family & friends. Waters and Chick Fil A will be provided for free and $10.00 Brisket BBQ plates with beans, potato salad, bread, chips, cookies will be available for purchase to help fund “Paint In The Park” efforts.
