San Angelo ISD is excited to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new addition to McGill Elementary School, marking a significant step in the District’s Sustainability Plan. Beginning in the 2024-2025 school year, McGill and Austin Elementary School combined into one campus, with students and staff from both schools being housed at McGill Elementary School. The 34,558-square-foot expansion features 15 new classrooms, a new cafeteria, additional restrooms, a new entryway, and updated pick-up/drop-off areas – all designed with sustainability and efficiency in mind. This new facility will help create a more resource-rich environment for students, allow for smaller learning groups, and support teacher collaboration, all while improving operational efficiency and reducing costs. San Angelo ISD is thrilled to celebrate this exciting new chapter and the positive impact it will have on countless students and the San Angelo community.
