Established by country music legend Dolly Parton, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library is an international program that mails free books monthly to children from birth to the age of 5. United Way of the Concho Valley is thrilled to bring Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to children 0-5 years of age in the Concho Valley. A priority at UWCV is to ensure all children are school-ready by kindergarten and grade-level readers by 3rd grade. Studies show early literacy is important to the success of a child and even adulthood. Dolly Parton's Imagination Library is an excellent tool to help get books into the hands of children at an early age and start encouraging the importance of reading. We will have refreshments and snacks set up as well as a live book reading and some fun activities for kids. All children will be welcome and are encouraged to attend.
