Overview:
Provides a friendly atmosphere to make the customer feel at ease while processing cash/deposit transactions, assisting customers with general account questions by phone and in lobby.
The City National Bank of Colorado City, or City National Bank, has been operating since 1900. We currently have two branches located in Colorado City, Texas and San Angelo, Texas. Diligently serving our community for 120+ years, founded upon the premise that “principle” comes before “principal”.
Essential duties:
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients in person, over the phone, and via email
- Assist customers with inquiries, account maintenance, and problem resolution
- Promptly answer phones
- Process financial transactions accurately and efficiently
- Handle cash management responsibilities, including cash register operations and balancing
- Utilize 10-key typing skills for data entry and record keeping
- Maintain knowledge of products, services, and promotions
- Identify and prevent fraudulent activities through vigilant monitoring and detection
- Process daily mail
- Maintain records for audits
- Prepare Cashier's Checks
- Redeem Savings Bonds
- Assist customers with accessing their Safe Deposit Boxes
- Assist in daily balancing of the vault
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in banking, customer service or a related field highly preferred
- Strong relationship management skills to build rapport with customers
- Proficient in 10-key typing for accurate data entry
- Familiarity with debits, credits, and basic accounting principles
- Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash transactions with precision
- Excellent math skills for calculating balances, interest rates, and loan payments
- Effective communication skills to interact with customers and colleagues professionally
- Ability to use sound judgment when routing calls and providing information to callers
- Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Regular and punctual attendance is required
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to coordinate with employees across department lines
- Completing deadlines within the assigned amount of time.
- Willingness to continue learning each day to better serve our customers
Work Environment
Qualified applicants must be able to work in a fast- paced environment and exhibit sound judgment in making decisions related to the overall health of the bank. Position requires extended periods of standing, sitting, and computer use. In addition, travel between branches for training may be required.

Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:10 am - 5:10 pm
- Ability to work out a schedule with manager based on school schedule, if necessary.
- With coming expansion of the bank, we will require any teller position to work Saturdays. This schedule is 'to be determined' at this time.
- Pay based on experience.
Work Location: One location in San Angelo, TX.
